Submission Guidelines:

Sonder primarily focuses on publishing and supporting the work of young, new, and barely published artists. Sonder accepts poetry, fiction, photography, digital art, and other purely original works. Have something else you think we may like? Send it in, we are always accepting submissions.*

Spring Issue Reading Period: October 1st thru March 1st

Spring Publication: April

Fall Issue Reading Period: April 1st thru September 1st

Fall Publication: October

Subject and language boundaries will be monitored; you must be responsible for your own work. Do not use a word or write a piece just because you can.  

*Response time may take up to 2-6 months. 

Guidelines for Submissions:

All submissions must have the following:

• Your name
• Number of previous publication (must be 5 or less)
• All written pieces must be .doc or .docx (unless noted otherwise)
• Sent to Submittable: sondermw.submittable.com/submit
  • Subject line must include “first and last name submission.”
• All pieces require titles 

Art:

• Hi-Resolution images preferred
• 3-5 images
• Does not have to be .doc/.docx

Poetry: 

• No more than 3-5 pages
• Single spaced
• Times New Roman font
• 12 point font

Fiction: 

• No more than 3-5 pages, 
• Double Spaced
• Times New Roman font
• 12 point font

All work must be original. 

 It would be greatly appreciated if your submission included how you heard about Sonder.  Sonder will not consider anyone who has been published more than 5 times and we will NOT read/look at any submission that does not follow these guidelines.
